At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on Senior Network Engineer joining our Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 IT program in Arlington, VA.
The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 IT program support contract provides knowledge-based, information assurance and cybersecurity IT services to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO). Our services include program management, enterprise performance management, enterprise architecture, implementation of emerging capabilities and requirements, life cycle management, operations & maintenance, enterprise data management, service desk support, and IT training.
HOW OUR SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Analyzes customer requirements and provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
Plan, configure, and implement networks solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud solutions.
Proficiency in various network technologies, including routing, switching, Azure cloud technologies.
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize performance.
Ability to review network logs, backup network configurations, and recover network devices.
Knowledge utilizing Cisco ISE, Cisco Unified Call Manager, and SolarWinds.
Ensure compliance with network directives, policies, and STIGs.
Ability to apply network patches, updates, and DoD STIGs to firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
Works with project managers to complete rapidly deployed network-related projects.
Strong communication skills for technical and nontechnical inter-team collaboration.
Stays current with new network technologies and utilizes industry best practices.
May mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance required.
Required Experience: 6 years of experience in an enterprise LAN/MAN/WAN environment.
Required Technical Skills: Experience with Cisco and Azure technologies.
Required Certifications:
DoD Manual 8140.03 Work Role: (441) Network Operations Specialist – Advanced.
CCNA or CCNP certification
Education: BS/BA Degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
Location: Onsite in Arlington, VA
US Citizenship Required.

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
