BGS is seeking an F-15C/EX Simulator Technician to support Training Services at NAS JRB New Orleans, Louisiana. This candidate will work directly with F-15C/EX Aircrew to ensure flight training devices are operational and available to meet the warfighter training needs.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports the operation and maintenance of stand-alone and networked squadron-based F-15C/EX training devices, (FMT/WTT)Assists with operations, repairs, tests, installs, configurations, upgrades, and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware, and softwarePerforms general inspections for pre- and post-operationsAssists instructors/aircrews during scheduled training missionsResponsible for building and loading mission planning data for devices in cooperation with Weapons Officer, the Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC), and other F-15C/EX Simulator OperatorsEstablishes DTOC connections and coordinates on-site equipment maintenance, when requiredTroubleshoots to isolate electrical and/or mechanical faultsResponsible for training device maintenance and liaisons with CSSP for software updates and major maintenanceActs as liaison with St. Louis Program Office for device security accreditation and maintenance paperworkPerforms logistical, administrative, and other collateral duties as necessary to maintain the training devicesPerforms administrative information technology security duties and works with local ISSM to maintain systems accreditationEstablish weekly status, monthly availability, and utilization reportsWorks under minimal supervisionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of related work experienceExperience in IT/Electronics/AvionicsCompTIA Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements), and/or the ability to obtain post-hireMust be willing to work one to two weekend days per month, as required by the Air National GuardMust be able to lift up to 35 pounds to a height of five feet

Summary pay range: $73,000 - $87,000
