The opportunity
Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Deal Technology practice works on the most complex and high-profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in IT who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people.
Your key responsibilities
As an Associate with EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Deal Technology practice, you will be a vital member of the team supporting and executing operational focused projects. You'll assist with the execution of projects across all sectors, supporting our client service team in developing and executing strategies for transactions. Part of your role will also involve developing experience across a range of different types of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g., operational, and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g., integration planning, tracking). Having a commercial mind-set is key to this consulting-based role.

To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 1 year of related work experience; or a graduate degree and some related work experience. MBA is preferred. Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis. The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts. Ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally. Expertise in 1 - 2 of the following IT skillsets: IT strategy Enterprise architecture Infrastructure and cloud architecture Cyber and IAM architecture Digital Technology Strategy Digital IT operating model transformation IT cost reduction IT security / cyber IT shared services IT organization transformation ERP implementation Digital business enablement using digital technology enablers (i.e., advanced analytics, robotic process automation, virtual reality) Cloud SaaS or PaaS (including Collaboration) strategy and delivery Cloud IaaS or Data Center migration planning and execution Identity and Access Management (IAM) / Active Directory services strategy IT service management Operations Center (e.g., NOC, SOC) or Managed Service Provider IT TSA development IT finance management IT infrastructure management IT outsourcing / offshoring IT contract management IT or Cyber Diligence IT synergy identification Data governance, separation, and transition Integration and Separation Planning Certifications in Agile, ITIL, PMP, Six Sigma, CISSP or CISA highly desired. The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Previous experience in an IT transaction’s role. Experience gained within another large professional services organization. Knowledge of how to leverage AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot. Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
