Extrusion Engineer (m/f/d)

Goal of function: The Extrusion Engineer (m/f/d)  plays a key role in defining global standards for extrusion technologies, driving quality improvements and cost efficiencies through strategic financial analysis and planning. They also lead or support global initiatives to harmonize and optimize preventive maintenance programs for extrusion equipment and processes.

Your responsibilities:

Define and support with data the definition of the standards for extrusion processes and extrusion equipmentDefine and update FAT and SAT extrusion equipment criteria and FAT/SAT protocolCreate the standard user requirement specification related to extrusion linesConduct research, studies and provide new technical solutions regarding extrusion processPropose budgets & CAPEX requests and manages projects accordinglySupport in solving extrusion production issues by involving the right internal and external stakeholdersDrive new technology evaluations or new solutions in order to improve the quality and reduce the costs of the extrusion productions

Your profile:

Min. Bachelor in Science, in particular within the field of Industrial engineeringFluent English and one additional language (Italian, German, French, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish, Serbian)5 years relevant work experience, min. 3 years in extrusion processesProject management experienceExperience with plastic extrusion processes and equipment, specifically within medical device manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on compliance with GMP standardsKnowledge in basic lean manufacturing toolExperience with Siemens PLCs is desirable, along with knowledge of motion control, PLC programming, pneumatic automation circuits, and the ability to interpret electrical drawings
