Mars Horsecare - Extruder Operator Position at Dalton, Ohio

Required Shift:

1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 3 PM

Job Purpose:

Take control of and own all facets of the Extrusion Department, including operation, preventative maintenance, sanitation, and quality control.

Education: High school diploma or GEDSkills: Mechanically inclinedSkills: Technologically savvy with computers

Physical Requirements:

Frequent lifting/carrying (10-80 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-2,000 lbs)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and grippingAbility to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum 8 hours in one shift)Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet environmentsAbility to understand, communicate, read, and write in English

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical degree or certificationsPrevious manufacturing experienceExtruder experience

Operating the extruder and all related equipmentDelivering on all quality and safety requirementsMaintaining all sanitation of the departmentCollaborating with other operations associates to accomplish all plant goals and production needs
