Primary Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions: + Shared responsibility for finished goods meeting or exceeding customer expectations + Understand the extrusion and inspection process (training required) + Setup and operation of Extruders + Load raw material into machines and input machine settings per instructions + Setup SPC Program and monitor tube parameters + Follow directions from drawings, standard work and work instructions. Review drawings for special notes on packaging and special length requirements of tubing + Prepare for upcoming jobs + Identify material by barcode system for each job + Proper use of measuring devices (measurement training required) + Make labels for tubing and properly complete production reports (per work instructions) + Adhere to quality standards and guidelines. Maintain accurate records + Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices + Report production issues to Value Stream Team Leader + Ability to independently troubleshoot + Perform work of an equal or lower classification Minimum Qualifications (relevant experience, education and/or training): + High School Diploma or GED, recognizes International Diplomas (may need to be translated to English) + U.S. Citizen or permanent residency status required + Basic computer skills preferred + Must be able to read work orders and interpret manufacturing specifications, understand and use shop math, use and interpret measuring instruments (calipers, stopwatch, gauges, calculator, etc.) + Must be able to demonstrate ability to operate department equipment + Must be able to adapt to production needs to satisfy customer demands + Must be able to work and communicate with peers + Must be able to write legibly, read and speak English + Basic understanding of lean fundamentals preferred Physical & PPE Requirements: Standing, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), walking, working under normal conditions. Exposure to hot machinery (sintering ovens), fluoropolymer resin and isopar fumes. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs (85-90 dB) are all required when working in the manufacturing plant.
