Job Description:

Location: Slatersville, Rhode Island

In this role, you’ll prepare and mix pigments, additives, and concentrates, operate extrusion equipment, and ensure color quality standards are met. This is a hands-on position that requires strong attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to handle materials and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Start up exhaust systems and scales at the beginning of the shift.
Weigh, mix, and prepare pigments, additives, and concentrates for extrusion.
Operate extruder equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor preventative maintenance (e.g., replacing fuses, blades).
Move and handle materials (barrels up to 250 lbs with equipment; skids up to 1,300 lbs with forklift).
Submit color samples for supervisor approval and log weights, times, and production data daily.
Complete daily production reports and maintain accurate records.
Store prepared materials, deliver materials to other buildings, and pack finished products as needed.
Assist in bagging area and support other departments when required.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, following PPE and safety standards.

Desired Background/Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
2–3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
Plastic extrusion, injection molding, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Forklift experience required; ability to safely handle heavy materials.
Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety.
