External Test Lab Coordinator
Job Title: External Test Lab Coordinator Location: Everett, Washington Type: Contract Compensation: $63 - $80 hourly Contractor Work Model: Hybrid Overview: Are you a highly motivated professional passionate about driving excellence in testing and quality assurance? We are seeking an External Test Lab Coordinator to support our client based in Everett, WA. In this critical role, you will support projects by coordinating test activities with external laboratories, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering effective communication between technical teams and testing facilities. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in the design and implementation of a third-party testing program, contributing to the successful validation of advanced technologies. + Collaborate with design engineers to document and detail test requirements before submission to external testing labs, ensuring clarity and compliance. + Serve as a liaison between contracts and technical teams, engaging with National Labs to negotiate contractual agreements regarding scopes of work. + Proactively manage schedules and budgets by engaging with National Labs, troubleshooting issues as they arise to adhere to project timelines and financial guidelines. + Address any disconnects or challenges that may occur between internal teams, National Labs, and the U.S. Department of Energy to facilitate smooth operations. + Prepare, review, and maintain a comprehensive list of proposed, ongoing, and future planned tests necessary for project success. + Interface effectively with technical discipline teams, partners, and contractors to ensure alignment and clarity in project goals. + Develop and review technical documentation such as test program plans, test requirement documents, and specifications. + Handle correspondence with both the Department of Energy and National Test Labs, ensuring clear communication flows. + Maintain an updated testing directory and the lines of communication between test facilities and test sponsors. + Prepare and review statements of work, testing bids, and specifications for test facilities. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related technical field from an accredited university, or equivalent experience. + Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience in test engineering and/or test lab activities; direct experience with vendor test facilities is a plus. + Proven experience overseeing test schedules and budgets, ensuring technical execution aligns with project requirements. + Familiarity with testing quality requirements such as NQA-1. + Strong communication skills, particularly within a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) organizational framework. + Current knowledge of trends and activities in the nuclear industry related to equipment qualification is highly desirable. + Self-starter with the ability to manage deadlines effectively and proactively. + Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), Adobe Professional, Jira, and Confluence. + Experience with project management tools and a willingness to assume full responsibility for task execution. + A high degree of integrity and trustworthiness with a commitment to fostering teamwork and open communication.
