Dare for Better. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced External Affairs and Policy Manager to join our team in Turkey. This role plays a critical part in shaping the regulatory and reputational landscape of our business by leading government relations, public policy, and social impact efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive PepsiCo’s policy agenda, build partnerships, and develop and implement impactful programs focused on social impact aligned with PepsiCo’s strategy. Location: Istanbul or Ankara (Ankara preferred) Responsibilities Manage government relations efforts by analyzing and forming positions on key regulatory issues related to the environment and product policy Proactively engage with government officials and other key stakeholders to shape legislation and regulations that impact the business. Collaborate with sector and global public policy and sustainability teams to ensure alignment on emerging policy issues and business unit action plans. Prepare high-level briefing documents for the CEO and senior leadership to guide their engagements with government officials and global partners. Represent PepsiCo’s interests at external meetings, industry events, and stakeholder platforms to advocate for our policy positions and strategic initiatives. Build and manage partnerships with civil society, NGOs, and business associations, especially in environmental initiatives. Identify funding and collaboration opportunities, and guide internal teams in leveraging them effectively. Design and implement market-specific social impact projects in coordination with internal teams (Supply Chain, Plants, Agro, R&D, HR, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Commercialization) and external stakeholders. Serve as the gatekeeper for external marketing and advertising activities (including social media) in line with PepsiCo’s global commitments and local regulatory requirements. Review and approve all company donation requests, ensuring alignment with PepsiCo’s strategic priorities and social impact principles. Strengthen PepsiCo’s reputation in Turkey by positioning the company as a key contributor to the agricultural, economic, and social development of the country. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, or International Relations preferred. Minimum 8 years of professional experience, ideally in government affairs, trade associations, or NGOs. The position requires travelling. Strong knowledge of the Turkish government system and an established network of key stakeholders. In-depth understanding of local and global regulatory landscapes, preferably with exposure to the food and beverage industry. Demonstrated analytical thinking and decision-making capabilities, with excellent communication and influencing skills. Proven ability to develop and implement issue analyses and engagement strategies in complex stakeholder environments. Advanced business English proficiency, both verbal and written, including technical and regulatory terminology. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills across a broad range of stakeholders. Ability to operate effectively under pressure, assess business risks, and recommend actionable strategies.
