External Communications Specialist

A bout the Role As an External Communications Specialist – Pacific, you will play a key supporting role in the delivery of a wide range of communications activities for Australia and New Zealand. Working closely under the guidance of the Head of Communications , APAC and alongside the wider communications team, you will help shape Aon’s public image and stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear and consistent messaging. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.   What the day will look like + A ssist with the implement ation of external communication strategies to Australia and New Zealand markets. + Support media relations activities , including press releases, media inquiries, interviews and spokesperson briefings. + Help maintain and update media and stakeholder contact databases + Monitor media coverage and assist in analysing communication effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. + Contribute to Aon’s LinkedIn handle and suppo rt on developing content for executive profiles ensuring alignment with business priorities. + Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels. + Provide administrative and coordination support to the Head of Communications and the wider team, including liaising with public relations agencies as needed . This role plays a key part in shaping the company’s public image and stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear, consistent messaging on behalf of the firm.   Skills and experience that will lead to success + Bachelor’s degree in Communications , Public Relations or a related field. + Some experience or internships in communications, public relations, or media (experience in the Australian or New Zealand markets is a plus, but not required ). + Strong written and verbal communication skills + E agerness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team. + Ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. + Familiarity with LinkedIn and other social media plat forms is desirable.   How we support our colleagues  In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage an inclusive workforce.
