About this role

We are creating a new Operational Support role for the UK External Affairs team. In this role, you will play an important role in the handling and administration of key internal processes, external engagement, and risk management activity across External Affairs. You will be responsible for providing support to the leaders and teams across the department to ensure that they can provide the highest level of support to the business ,are engaging effectively with external stakeholders, all while remaining well managed. 

What you’ll do

Administration and engagement for trade association relationships including, for example, UK Finance;Support with partnerships and Community events - engagement, coordination, and attendanceOrganising and management of events, including scheduling programmes, liaising with external guests, and management of supplies.Support others in the team on writing submissions to consultations, trade associations, and awards.Support across Horizon scanning and communication toolsAdministrative support for Regulatory Relations including regulatory filings and reporting with FCAAdministrative support on speaker requests and background checksGeneral administration support including managing POs and invoices

What we’re looking for

Experience of providing effective and efficient operational and/or administrative support in a large teamConfidence with data entering and extractionStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence in speaking with different people externally to enable effective collaboration with a variety of stakeholdersA level of background knowledge on financial regulation and government policy would be preferable.Ability to identify and implement innovative operational and process improvementsRecord of showing a high level of integrity and discretion, given the sensitive nature of the work you would be exposed toOrganisational skills, specifically the ability to handle and record large volumes of data using spreadsheetsExperience with using Google Sheets would be preferableBeing able to adapt working style to meet the challenges of an unpredictable and continually evolving environment and workload

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent position based in our London office.  

We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home. 

We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our London office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
