Lendlease has a fantastic opportunity for an External Affairs Manager to join its Melbourne team and drive reputation excellence across its Victorian operations and beyond. As a key part of the national Corporate Affairs team, you’ll be responsible for creating compelling integrated communications, media, and stakeholder strategies across multiple business units and projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and deliver Lendlease’s external affairs strategy for Victoria and other states, including media, communications, issues management and industry engagement activitiesExecute communications strategies and campaigns in collaboration with teams across projects, marketing and corporate affairs to bring bold visions to lifeMedia management across the business, building and nurturing relationships with relevant property, business, urban affairs and trade mediaProvide state-wide issues management supportCollaborate with relevant business leads and corporate affairs team on high impact state government and industry relations activitiesSupport business leaders to prepare for external engagements including speaking events, roundtables and interviewsProduce communications materials including media releases, briefing notes, and other content for reports, website and social media and anticipate communications needs across projects and milestonesAbout you:
You will be a proactive communicator who thrives in high-energy environments with strong stakeholder management skills. You’ll have the ability to manage multiple priorities and fast-moving situations and issues, with strong media management skills. You will also have:
Ideally 5-7 years of experience in media or communications, including direct media engagement Demonstrated issues management experienceAbility to identify and foresee emergent issues to mitigate reputational and business riskDemonstrated ability to identify newsworthy topics and story angles, pitch to media and manage incoming enquiriesAbility to develop strong partnerships with peers to remain up to date with current opportunities and issuesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to disseminate information, facilitate decision making and build relationships with key stakeholders.Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, journalism and/or public relationsBenefits of working at Lendlease:
