Down here on the sun-dappled shoreline, something special is taking root.
Opening in January 2026, Heirloom is a coastal kitchen and dining space nestled within a stunning new retirement living community just south of Sydney. With sweeping waterfront views, a Mediterranean soul, and a deep love for shared stories and slow meals, Heirloom is where old traditions meet new memories—open to the public, but grounded in the lives of our residents, their families, and friends.
Our menu is inspired by the warmth and generosity of the Mediterranean—think simple, seasonal ingredients, generous pours of olive oil, and dishes made to linger over. The kind of food that brings people together and tastes like it’s been passed down through generations.
We’re on the lookout for passionate hospitality people to join our founding team—those who understand that great service is about more than just speed. It’s about connection, care, and bringing heart to every plate and every table.
We’ll be reviewing applications on a rolling basis from late October/ early November as we build our opening crew.
Who we're looking for:
We’re building a team that feels like family. We’re keen to connect with:
Food & Beverage Supervisors with a steady hand, strong leadership, and a genuine love for people. You’ll help guide the team, keep service running smoothly, and set the tone for warm, attentive hospitality—day in, day out.
Head Chefs & Chefs who cook from the heart, with care, consistency, and a love for fresh, Mediterranean flavours.
Shift Leads who lead and supervise staff, creating a respectful and efficient team environment
If you’ve got a strong work ethic, a soft spot for the seaside, and a natural warmth in the way you connect with others—especially those a little older and wiser—we’d love to hear from you.
What you'll bring
Empathy to interact respectfully with elderly residents, attention to detail to follow dietary requirements, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and bring them to everything you do.
To thrive in this role, you will ideally need:
Commercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent
Excellent Customer Service: You're passionate about creating positive dining experiences for our residents and their guests.
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
Knowledge of Food Safety & Compliance: You understand RSA regulations, food safety standards, and HACCP protocols.
Experience managing a café, restaurant, or function venue (banquet experience is desirable).
Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate.
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
A collaborative and positive approach to leading and supporting others
Why join us?
Be part of something from the ground up—shaping the culture and energy of a brand-new venue
Work in a beautiful waterfront setting
Make meaningful connections with a regular, close-knit community
Bring your personality and ideas to a team that values care, creativity, and a good sense of humour
Serve and cook Mediterranean-inspired food made for sharing and savouring
Because at Heirloom, it’s not just about service. It’s about making people feel at home.
