The Express or Lube Technician is responsible for the efficient, accurate and complete regular maintenance of customer vehicles. The Express tech is always cognizant of the value provided to our customers. This position requires exceptional teamwork and the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks.

Strives to contribute to the store’s efforts to deliver an exceptional guest experience to our guests by making it a top priority to help other team members who are serving out guests (e.g., by being highly responsive to those team members’ requests for information or assistance that will help them serve our guests). Never think “that’s not in my job description”. Wowing our guests is the job of EVERY Team Member, even those who don’t interact directly with guests!

Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the dealership dress code.
Performs work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory instructions and standards.
Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Communicates with service advisor or expeditor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Examines assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Makes accurate use of the Multipoint Inspection form on each vehicle.
If directed, road tests vehicles to determine work needed and to confirm work was successfully completed whenever necessary and practical.
Utilizes product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools. Reads and understands factory bulletins covering campaigns, updates and recalls.
Takes care to ensure that customer vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
Maintains the Service Department spaces assigned in an organized, clean and condition.
Works well in a team environment, communicating effectively with fellow technicians, expeditors, service advisors and management.
Maintains both personal and associate grooming, hygiene and uniform standards according to departmental policy.
Maintains the dealership’s safety according to applicable requirements and published procedures, including local ordinances, for dealership associates, customers, vendors and visitors.
