Export & Trade Compliance Specialist- Operation Management (Fixed Term )

Position Summary

As an Export & Trade specialist in our Operation Management team, you will ensure efficient management and analysis of Samsung Semiconductor's logistics cost & insurance claiming processes. You will play a key role in supporting and fulfilling our Headquarters' requests and communicate in close exchange & co-operation with our outsourced Logistics department, direct team colleagues and leaders.

Furthermore, you will help realizing various projects/innovations across different departments, like process/system implementations or internal/external audits.

This role is based in our Munich office and set for a maternity leave cover of 16 months fixed contract.

Role and Responsibilities

· Managing logistics insurance claiming processes (inbound & outbound) + payment follow up

· Continuous claim monitoring and reporting, status updates and approvals
· Logistics insurance contract management (review & renew)
· Export/trade compliance & implementation of/comply with EU directives (sanctions)

· Reporting analysis of logistics cost status/structure on a regular basis

· Support finance departments with logistics cost budget, planning and analysis data
·Solid understanding of customs law fundamentals & processes
·Liase with different internal departments such as Finance and controlling team, sales and marketing, external logistics & customs authority etc.

Skills and Qualifications

· A Bachelor/master’s degree in Economics, Logistics, Customs & Foreign Trade or any other relevant field ​

· Min.3 years of previous experience within a sales or management support organization, preferably as part of a multinational corporation
· Service oriented approach/mindset
· Solid understanding of customs law fundamentals & processes
· Strong organizational and analytical skills

· Strong command of MS-Office, SAP knowledge would be a plus
· Flexible personality being able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and working independently as well as part of a team

· Open minded and able to work in a multi-cultural team
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & German, Korean would be considered a strong asset
