Job Title: Export Coordinator
Job Description
As an Export Coordinator, you will ensure that shipments and files move efficiently through the export process at a fast pace. You will be responsible for data input and logging files, coordinating the movement of shipments between origin and destination, and understanding the transaction responsibilities including client identification, billing arrangements, and carrier coordination.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the movement of shipments between origin and destination.Ensure all necessary documents such as POA/EAL/SLI contacts are completed for the shipper.Book, arrange for, or confirm cargo space with carriers.Send booking confirmations and work orders, and confirm availability.Provide timely responses to clients regarding delays or additional charges.Arrange necessary services such as trucking and fumigation.Confirm loading appointments, and ensure shipments are picked up and ingated.Request and manage commercial documents.Monitor group emails daily to ensure clear communication.Understand the differences between loading ports, discharging ports, and destination ports.File rates once shipments have been confirmed with trucking and/or shipper for loading times, in accordance with FMC.Assist other departments to meet customer service needs.Essential Skills
Industry experience in export coordination.Experience in trucking and dispatching.Ability to handle multiple accounts.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CargoWise is a plus.Comfortable with Outlook Email.Experience with Bills of Lading (BOLs).Work Environment
This role is based onsite in an office environment. The position requires familiarity with standard office software and communication tools.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cordova, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
