The Export Control Manager is principally responsible for leading and administrating activities within the Defense Division relating to export classification determinations, partnering with the Engineering, Technology, and Safety function, and assessing new IT system introductions.

What you will be doing
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
Acts as a business partner to the Global Engineering, Technology & Safety (ET&S) function. Engages at senior leadership level to ensure strategies and decisions are aligned with sanctions and export control requirements. Engages at a working level with procedure owners to ensure corporate engineering tasks adequately account for sanctions and export control requirements.Lead reviews of regulations impacting export control classifications to ensure tools and procedures remain consistent with changes.Owner of Global Defense Division and US Civil Division procedures & guidelines for export classification determinations and processing.System administrator for select Corporate tools used to facilitate export classification determinations.Responsible for ensuring the quality of export classification data held across the Defense Division business systems. This includes the provision ofTraining to those who conduct and/or validate export classifications.Reviews and approves all new IT system introductions for US operations to ensure sanctions and export control requirements are met.Maintains sanctions and export control related procedures and guidance for IT approvalsAttends business development meetings to ensure sanctions and export control requirements are considered appropriately.Who we’re looking for:

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of export control, engineering, IT, business, paralegal, purchasing, logistics, export control, project management, military service, commercial contracts, and/or technical writing experience ORMaster's degree with 3+ years of export control, engineering, IT, business, paralegal, purchasing, logistics, export control, project management, military service, commercial contracts, and/or technical writing experience ORJD/PhDIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to receive and maintain a Security Clearance which requires a US CitizenshipPreferred Requirements:
Experience in gas turbine, naval, or nuclear engineeringExperience in drafting and obtaining jurisdiction and classification determinations under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) export agreements and licensesPrevious experience working within or implementing compliance programsGeneral understanding of EU, UK, and/or other international export control regulationsWhat we offer
