Barrick is seeking an engaged, Senior Resource Geologist to support the identification and advancement of high-quality exploration opportunities across its portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the discovery of world-class ore bodies by supporting both desktop and field-based evaluations, including data compilation, geological modeling, and target generation.

The Senior Geologist will play a key role in shaping and advancing exploration opportunities at various stages of the pipeline. You will collaborate with talented, multidisciplinary exploration teams and technical leaders, contributing to exploration strategies while gaining exposure to a diverse range of geological settings and project types.

Responsibilities:

Provide guidance to staff, contract personnel and core techs as neededGuide staff performance and skills developmentDesign, budget, coordinate and execute drill programs; engage associated personnelLiaise with Resource and Database teams; identify opportunityLiaise with Operations groups to ensure projects sync with LOM plansLiaise with Safety and Environmental personnel to ensure complianceProvide input and support to Life-of-mine and project study workPrepare reports, presentations and technical reviews as requiredFoster strong safety cultureManage projects as delegated by supervisor; perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or equivalent experience requiredTen (10) years’ mining geology experience preferredSix years’ experience in team environment preferredExperience in Carlin-type deposits preferredStrong computer skills in geological modeling software requiredExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills requiredDemonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this position required
