WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You’ll join our Technology Delivery team within the Enterprise Technology experts, part of Bain’s digital capabilities practice. In this multidisciplinary group, you’ll help clients modernize their tech strategy, architecture, and systems -- aligning technology with business goals to drive efficiency, agility, and innovation. You’ll develop enterprise-wide solutions, optimize cloud and data architectures, and integrate AI to enable scalable end-to-end digital transformations.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

Mission

Guide and support the day-to-day implementation of technology transformation projects, focusing on the delivery and operationalization of strategic initiatives to achieve significant outcomes and impact Contribute to technology architectural and platform trade-offs, recommendations, and decisions as enablers of strategic prioritiesEnsure alignment between technology strategy and implementation, orchestrating client and third-party teamsHelp lead cross-functional teams in implementing project management strategies to achieve project objectives, including scope, schedule, and budgetFocus on delivery assurance to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of strategic recommendations, utilizing project management principles to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of project outcomesImprove efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of clients’ business processes and operations in the context of large tech transformations  Drive the implementation of large scale transformation programs to ensure efficient and effective implementation of strategic recommendations that align with clients' goals and objectivesIdentify issues, create hypotheses and execute analysis; translate data into meaningful insights; present recommendations to key decision makersMove the client to action; develop a plan to implement the strategic recommendations; manage the executionCoach and develop junior team members


Essential functions

Design and develop architecture, cloud infrastructure, and data infrastructure aligned with business strategyContribute to IT assessments, specifically assessing application and infrastructure architecture, to help surface pain points and opportunities in the context of enterprise transformations in line with benchmarks and best practicesParticipate in end-to-end technology and digital transformation projects, solving the most pressing needs of our clientsEstablish and implement PMO tools such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, LeanIX from inception, guiding the team through onboarding to ensure seamless project operations and efficiencyExecute project management activities, ensuring adherence to established methodologies, processes, and standards within the PMOHelp oversee the preparation and refinement of project deliverables, including comprehensive reports, workshop materials, and compelling business proposals, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectationsDrive continuous improvement of the project management process to enhance project delivery efficiency, effectiveness, and qualitySupport in managing and coaching teams to research and understand the client organization and industry; interview, conduct focus groups and facilitate workshops with client employees, management teams and other stakeholdersIdentify and capitalize on value-creation opportunities in each client situation, ensuring that strategic initiatives translate into measurable business impactEnsure the development and monitoring of business cases within technology transformation plans, guaranteeing the realization of their intended value and recommending corrective actions to maximize value captureOrganize the work of the team by allocating clear responsibilities among case team membersManage and ensure execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses of business processesPrepare and finalize project deliverables, including reports, workshop materials, and business proposalsCoordinate initiatives and oversee project management processes, standards and governance to ensure project delivers value according to timeline and quality standards 


ABOUT YOU

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science / Engineering, Information management or other tech-related fieldsPreferred: MBA, courses in digital/tech transformation

Experience

6+ years of experience in consulting, a start-up or other business environment, preferably within the Tech industryExperience in architectural solutions for financial services, such as core banking implementation or modernization, payment solutions, internet banking, and other financial services technologiesExperience with project management for large tech transformationsExperience collaborating with other vendor partners (e.g., IBM, Accenture)Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating workshops to identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Passionate about technology topics including architecture, process excellence, cloud, delivery assurance, etc.Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices in program management, process improvement, and risk management to deliver tangible results and value through project management expertiseExperience in developing and managing client relationships driving collaboration and effective decision makingAdept at bridging software and systems expertise with business leadership requirementsExperience using specific project management tools in large IT transformations such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, LeanIXAbility to assist in preparing and presenting project deliverables to key decision-makers, articulating insights and recommendations clearlyFamiliarity with change management techniques to assist the client in sustaining changes to business operationsDemonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, effective collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skillsEffective management and working skills, fostering collaboration and ensuring successful execution of project tasks and objectivesRobust analytical skillset, with organized and deadline-driven ways of workingAbility to multi-task and be a team playerFluency in English (written and spoken)
