VCA Laguna Niguel Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced and skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our amazing team full-time (30-40 hours/week)! Our four-doctor general practice is located in the heart of Laguna Niguel and offers wellness and sick appointments, general surgery, and dentistry.

Location: 28892 Crown Valley Pkwy, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677

Salary: $ 18- 26 / hour

Schedule: 5 days, 8 hours per day, Saturdays required, no Sundays

Your skills and expertise will support our doctor team in providing top-notch patient care and an unparalleled client experience.

Required skills include:

Obtaining medical historiesProper animal restraint and handlingAdministering SQ, IM, IV injections and SQ fluidsIV catheterization and venipuncture (jugular, cephalic, saphenous)Lab work (in-house and reference lab)Radiographic positioningsurgical pack sterilizationWorking independently and as part of a teamA positive and helpful attitudeClient communicationCreating and reviewing cost estimates with clientsMonitoring hospitalized, sedated, and post-op patients
