As a member of the Quality Organization at Spectrolab, you will be working with a dedicated team of quality professionals that take pride in their work and in supporting efforts to ensure our world class aerospace products conform to the high standards that we expect of ourselves and our customers expect of us as well.
The primary duties of this position will require an experienced quality inspector to inspect solar cells and solar panels for aerospace and complete critical related paperwork.
Performs inspections of solar cells, solar panels and searchlights and prepares all required supporting documentation.Prepares program specific books to support creation of end item data packages.Assists with identifying root cause and corrective action of non conformances.Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.This position supports a 9/80 schedule!
This position is for 2nd shift, but will require training on 1st shift. Overtime will be required per the business need. This is at the hiring team's discretion and may change in the future based on business conditions.
Position Responsibilities:
Inspects solar cells, solar panels, searchlights and searchlight components for conformance to requirementsPerforms auditing, surveillance and monitoring of products and processes and provides customer feedbackApplies standard inspection techniques for product verification including use of various inspection tools, microscope, eye loop, etc. and provides objective evidence of resultsConducts product review with customer during product or process verificationPrepares Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) books for Product AcceptanceThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of performing product inspection3+ years of experience with precision measuring tools (including calipers, height and depth gauges, micrometers, microscopes, and eye loops)Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specificationsAbility to work overtimeMore than 1 year of experience auditing to quality standardsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with AS9100 and/or a similar Quality Management System (QMS) standardExperience with SAP softwareTravel:
This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
