We are looking for a Mechanical R&D Engineer. This position will be based in Roebuck, SC
You will make an impact by:
Leading new product development projects for electrical Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems, specifically Busway Systems, Bus Plugs and accessories. Engineering innovative designs of commercial and industrial electrical products utilizing Creo. Creating multiple design concepts & performing trade-off studies of those concepts to determine the optimal solution. Managing and planning projects including scope of work, schedules, costs, and completion dates. Preparing prototypes for design feasibility evaluation and testing. Preparing and executing test plans. Working with cross functional teams to drive projects to completion. Creating part and assembly drawings, BOMs, and Engineering Change Notices.You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree 5 - 8 years’ experience in R&D / new Product Development Engineering Minimum 2 years of Creo or similar 3D modelling software. Working knowledge of AC and DC Electrical System A proven track record of developing design concepts with a comprehensive evaluation of all interfaces and contributing factors. Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), product design and testing. Hands-on prototyping experience. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:
BSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) or BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering)UL 857 Busway design experience. Familiarity with North American and International Electrical Certification Procedures Familiar with National Electric Code (NEC) including NFPA 70 Familiarity with IP ratings and IEC standards applicable to Busway. Familiarity with Electrical circuits and analytics. Creative and analytical thinking with an ability to work alone or in a group setting. Knowledge of Configurable / Modular design methodology Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Thermal (CFD) simulation expertiseAbout Siemens:

The pay range for this position is 82.320 - 141,120 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
