Position Overview:

Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for Equipment & Tool Engineer – Asset Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems Engineer to join the Production Engineering team in Bangalore India. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial (BCA) business organization.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Production Engineering Teams to implement the Equipment & Tool Design solutions.

Job Description:

The Equipment & Tool Engineer – Asset Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems Engineer is responsible for designing and developing Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems for industrial equipment control, ensuring they meet industry standards. Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM), collaborating with cross-functional teams for system integration, and troubleshooting issues to reduce downtime. This role also involves ensuring part interchangeability, creating detailed documentation, and developing preventive maintenance plans to improve system reliability. The engineer will manage capital equipment requisition and identify spare parts needs, while conducting regular inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and develop Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems tailored for industrial equipment control systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and operational requirements.

Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems into existing and new equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, providing effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.

Ensure part interchangeability and compatibility within Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems to facilitate maintenance and repairs.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, schematics, and maintenance manuals.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to enhance system reliability and longevity.

Capital equipment requisition or procurement related to pneumatic and hydraulic systems and identify spare parts requirements.

Perform regular inspections and maintenance of existing systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in Hydraulic and Pneumatic technologies to enhance system design and performance.

Basic Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in the design and analysis of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems for industrial applications.

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex Hydraulic and Pneumatic system issues effectively.

Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools for system design and analysis.

Proven experience in the capital equipment requisition process or procurement related to Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and stakeholders.

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Typical Education & Experience:

Bachelor's with 9 to 12 years of experience / Master’s degree with 8 to 11 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering.
