BIETC is currently looking for Experienced Equipment & Tooling Engineer - Industrial Automation to join Production Engineering team in Bangalore. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial (BCA) business organization.
A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Production Engineering Teams to implement the Tool design solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
Programs, integrates, & troubleshoots industrial robots from industry leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)Programs, integrates, & troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Numerical Controls (NC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), & Drives from Siemens, FANUC, or Allen BradleyOptimizes complex robotics & automation tools and equipment for safety, ergonomics, quality, flow, reliability, or maintainabilityManages projects and comply with industry standards including electrical and safety codesDevelops and implements basic work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.Leads and manages projects involving the acquisition or modification of production equipment.Generates system specifications from production system requirementsDevelops and releases bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.Analyzes design/build concepts, to evaluate a producible design/build definition.Investigates alternative solutions to meet the producibility requirements.Works in a cross functional team alongside manufacturing, quality, safety, services, research and technology, suppliers and vendorsDevelops and maintains technical relationships / partnerships with customers, suppliers, peers, partners and team members to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.Coordinate and communicate regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world. Support initiatives on engineering excellence, employee development, mentoring, and customer engagementBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering is required as a Basic Qualification.5 or more years of experience with programming, integrating or troubleshooting industrial automation from OEMs such as ABB or FANUC, or PLCs, NCs, HMIs, or Drives such as Siemens, FANUC or Allen BradleyExperience with programming languages such as Java and SQLExperience with data collection systems in industrial automation including Tableau, OPC-UA, and Pi VisionExperience working with hardware, software, and documentation configuration managementExperience working with industry standards including compliance with hardware and safety codesKnowledge of various manufacturing techniquesExperience in Automation and roboticsAbility to learn in a fast-paced environmentProject management knowledgeAbility to collaborate with both the engineering workforce and the mechanics on the factory floorExposure / Experience in Tool Engineering.
Flexibility to learn and work across a variety of aerospace manufacturing technologies and applications.Proven ability to collaborate productively in multidiscipline teaming environments.Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environmentMust be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, Statements of Work, and connect technology to business considerations.Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor's with Minimum 8+ years of experience / Master’s degree with 7+or more years' experience in Aerospace/Mechanical /Production/Mechatronics Engineering.
