The Role
At Kyndryl Vital, UX Designers craft intuitive and user-centered digital experiences that solve real human problems through thoughtful interface design, interaction patterns, and information architecture. This role focuses on creating products that are not only visually appealing but also usable, accessible, and valuable to end-users. Through user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing, UX Designers ensure that digital solutions meet both user needs and business objectives.
As a specialist and leader in UX design, you will:
· Lead UX initiatives across various projects, ensuring interfaces are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with client objectives
· Conduct user research to identify pain points, behaviors, and opportunities for design innovation
· Create user personas, journey maps, and information architecture that inform design decisions
· Develop wireframes, prototypes, and interaction patterns that effectively communicate design concepts
· Facilitate design workshops and user testing sessions to validate design solutions
· Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted UX advisor throughout the project lifecycle
· Guide design teams in creating cohesive user experiences across multiple touchpoints and platforms
· Collaborate with developers and product managers to balance user needs with technical feasibility
· Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the organization
· Own the UX process from discovery and ideation to testing and implementation
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· User-Centered Design: You have a deep understanding of UX methodologies, including user personas, journey mapping, and information architecture.
· Interaction Design: You can create intuitive user flows, navigation patterns, and micro-interactions that enhance usability across digital products.
· Usability Testing: You excel at designing and facilitating usability tests to validate design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Wireframing & Prototyping: You can create low to high-fidelity prototypes using industry tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD to communicate design concepts effectively.
· User Research: You can plan and conduct both qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
· Information Architecture: You have expertise in organizing and structuring complex information to create intuitive navigation systems.
· Accessibility: You understand WCAG guidelines and design inclusive experiences that work for users of all abilities.
· Collaboration: You work effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-friendly solutions.
· UI Design Principles: You have strong knowledge of visual hierarchy, typography, and responsive design to create aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
· UX Writing: You can craft clear, concise microcopy that guides users through digital experiences.
· Co-Creation: You excel at aligning stakeholders through workshops and collaborative sessions.
· Storytelling: You can communicate clearly and compellingly.
· Design with and for AI: You leverage AI tools while maintaining quality and ethical standards.
Who You Are
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
· 8+ years experience
· Deep industry vertical experience
· Experience in both enterprise and agency worlds
· Knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure or other technical applications
· Human behavior, change management, or other applied social sciences
· Data science, AI/ML background
Required Education
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent portfolio
Preferred Education
· MDM, MDes, MFA, dMBA or equivalent
