**Job Profile Summary:**
The Experience Design Leader is responsible for guiding creative direction and managing projects within a business or cross-business program, leading transformative change through design, managing and mentoring a creative team, aligning business objectives with design goals, and contributing to strategic planning to ensure optimal resource utilization and alignment between design efforts and business objectives. The role initiates and defines the scope of analysis and research activities within the team, aiming for deeper insights to inform innovative solutions. The role guides creative direction at the program level, ensuring coherence across touchpoints and alignment with strategic objectives and user needs. The role manages the design staff by fostering a motivating, challenging, and coaching environment to ensure performance, development, and high employee engagement.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Initiates and defines the scope of analysis and customer and user experience research activities within the team to acquire deeper insights, serving as valuable input for the creation of innovative solutions.
+ Guides creative direction at the program level, orchestrating cohesive solutions and experiences across multiple touchpoints and ensures alignment with strategic objectives and user needs, fostering consistency and excellence in design execution.
+ Oversees the design staff from a performance and a development perspective, and ensures an inspiring working environment in the group by motivating, challenging, and coaching the group's employees towards growth and high engagement.
+ Manages multiple projects across a business or program through a team of individual contributors, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
+ Initiates and oversees larger projects or programs, influencing conditions for success, defining delivery strategies, and managing program-level experience design quality, ensuring excellence in execution.
+ Provides visionary design leadership to business stakeholders, guides and inspires transformative change through the power of design, articulates a compelling vision for user-centered design and advocates for its integration into business strategies and practices.
+ Leads and directs a creative team, provides mentorship, coaching, and feedback to individuals to optimize their performance and guides team members in honing their skills, cultivating a team and company culture of user-centered innovation and collaboration.
+ Serves as a program-level expert, adept at translating business objectives into design goals, and providing guidance to others within the organization to ensure alignment between business and design objectives.
+ Develops a vision for their team, crafts strategic plans, and contributes to method, tool, and evaluation criteria development for projects, programs, and personnel.
+ Oversees quality of design delivery, including budget management, expense prioritization, adjustments to team composition and capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and optimal resource utilization.
+ Support in development of strategic direction for business or program, including solution roadmaps, annual budget and resource planning to align design capabilities and capacity with strategic direction.
**Minimum Required Qualifications:**
Education:
+ Bachelor's / Master's Degree in (UX) Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 3 years of experience with Master's in areas such as User Experience (UX) Design, Information Architecture, User Research, Product Design, Usability Testing or equivalent.
