Exercise Physiologist/Injury Prevention Specialist
**Overview** **Position:** Exercise Physiologist/Injury Prevention Specialist **Location:** Lake Buena Vista, FL **Type of Employment:** Full-time **Schedule:** Weekdays/Weekends (Hours Vary) **Compensation:** Starting at $21.25/hour, Commensurate with experience, This is a 40 hour per week position, schedule TBD, for an exercise physiologist, licensed athletic trainer, or individual of similar background.We are looking for a dynamic individual able to continue to support and grow revenue through on-site services and maximizing center based Work Strategies services (Onsite Early Symptom Intervention- ESI) at a major theme park. Essential functions will also include, but not limited to: + Injury Trend Analysis + Work Risk and Task Analysis + Work-site Education programs + On-site Intervention + Support, coach and train new employees + Conduct in-services to keep staff current in Work Strategies issues + Participate in CEU programs **Why Join Us:** + Comprehensive health care and 401K plans + Competitive Paid Time Off (PTO) + Industrywide unmatched continuing education (CEU) program with unlimited access to CEU courses, national certifications and more + Competitive compensation with annual performance reviews **Responsibilities** + Full time OnSite coverage for industrial customer under the direction of Account/Program Manager + Early Symptom Intervention with providing first aid services + Design and implement injury prevention strategies for the industrial setting, such as individual and group conditioning, functional assessments and behavioral modification + Health and wellness consultation and presentations **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + BS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology REQUIRED + Preferred one year experience, industrial setting experience a plus + Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone. + Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift. + Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions. + Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions. + Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community. + Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of dictation equipment. + Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
