Job DescriptionJoin the team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort, nestled in the heart of the stunning Hunter Valley wine region. We’re seeking a dynamic Executive Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional dining experiences across our bistro, fine dining restaurant, and conference venues.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of a busy and diverse kitchen. You’ll lead a team of talented chefs, contribute to menu creation, and uphold the highest standards in food quality, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise kitchen operations across all outlets, maintaining consistency and excellenceCollaborate on menu development and recipe creation with a strong focus on cost controlMonitor and manage inventory, food cost, and labour budgetsEnsure food safety compliance and uphold high hygiene and sanitation standardsRecruit, train, roster, and mentor kitchen staff to build a high-performing teamCater to a wide range of dietary requirements, allergies, and preferences with care and precisionDrive innovation and continuous improvement in kitchen processes and service deliveryExpected Hours: Full time, 38 hours per week

Salary: $90,000-$95,000 (excluding super)
