As an Executive Producer, you will be a key leader within our Event Operations team based in Mountain View, overseeing complex production projects and driving strategic initiatives to enhance our event production capabilities. You will lead project segments, consult stakeholders, and deliver through others, ensuring the highest quality of production for internal and potentially external events. This role requires a blend of hands-on production expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills to foster innovation and manage complex challenges. You will partner closely with the Enterprise Engineering team, Production Studios team and other members of the Events & Experiences Team.

The Role
The Event Operations Team is part of the wider Events and Experience team, who play a vital role in connecting, enabling, and inspiring our people and communities through exceptional events. As part of this team, Event Production team is responsible for complex event production projects and broadcasting globally, delivering optimal experiences for speakers and audiences, whether in-room or watching remotely.
Projects include: Talks, fireside chats, workshops, town halls, global broadcasts and presentations from our state-of-the-art Mountain View Campus event spaces.
Key Responsibilities
+ Partnership and Strategic Initiative: Work with the Event Operation Lead to develop & implement the event production strategy and find opportunities to increase impact, innovate and/or streamline processes bringing more AI tools into our work and productions.
+ Lead Project Segments: Drive project outcomes for complex event productions, Identifying and delivering the entire lifecycle from pre/live to post-production evaluation. This includes implementing effective processes for event space booking and on-site technician resource allocation with Production Studios.
+ Stakeholder Consultation and Collaboration: Act as a trusted colleague and consultant for cross-functional teams across Google DeepMind. Influence and partner with stakeholders providing leadership, advice and guidance ensuring seamless production delivery.
+ Production Delivery Through Others: Responsible for production of all in person/hybrid events across our Gradient Canopy building. Partnering closely with technical teams and potentially leading vendor team members
+ Mitigate Risks and Problem Solve: Proactively identify potential challenges and develop creative solutions to problems, being agile knowing when to stop, start, or pause a piece of work.
+ Expertise and Innovation: Be seen as a sought-after subject matter expert for a wide range of complex event productions & broadcasts, providing expert advice and guidance on ways of working, tools, and event production needs. Stay curious and ahead of the latest trends and developments in event and broadcast production.
+ Budget and Vendor Management: Have a strong understanding of budget control, developing and managing production budgets. Procure and manage strategic partnerships with outsourced service vendors, ensuring best practices and alignment with Google DeepMind's values.
+ Evaluation and Innovation: Oversee the creation and maintenance of post-production evaluations, tracking attendance, viewership insights, and feedback to provide timely updates and implement learnings into future productions. Lead the adoption of new tools and processes to continually enhance audience and speaker engagement.
+ External Production Delivery: Advise on or act as producer / showcaller when required for off-site events collaborating closely with the event management team, event production companies and venue AV teams
About You
In order to set you up for success as an Executive Producer at Google DeepMind, you will thrive in a fast paced environment and be comfortable working directly with experienced events managers, technical production crews and speakers of all experience levels.
Skills & Experience
+ You’ll be a motivated, friendly and proactive individual with senior production experience, who wants to play an integral part of Google DeepMind’s success.
+ Proven experience in live event and/or TV broadcast production at a team lead/senior producer level including show calling.
+ An extensive portfolio demonstrating a wide range of productions & broadcasts of varying scope and scale including managing and supporting speakers.
+ Deep knowledge and understanding of production technology and examples of innovation.
+ Demonstrated experience in people management, mentoring, and coaching.
+ Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of implementing scheduling and crew resource planning processes
+ Track record of using techniques and tools to enhance audience engagement and speaker/presenter experience.
+ Advanced production, project, and budget management skills.
+ Ability to confidently navigate ambiguity and create clarity where it does not exist.
+ Ability to change and adapt at pace to the needs of the project.
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent and present work to all audiences from business and technical perspectives.
+ Strategic and creative problem solver with a talent for pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively at a senior level and influence cross-functional teams.
+ Understanding of or interest in AI or wider research fields.
+ Experience with Google Suite tools, including functionality within Google Meet.
+ Some out-of-hours working may be required depending on project demands.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $141,000 - $206,000 + bonus + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
