BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEW

The Executive Office is comprised of several groups including Alumni Relations, Brand and Content Strategy, Internal Communications, International Management, Media Relations, the Office of Corporate Engagement (OCE), Investor Relations, Environmental Markets, Government Affairs and the Office of the Chairman. As a division, the Executive Office maintains and promotes the Goldman Sachs culture both within and outside of the firm.

 

Within the Executive Office, the Office of Corporate Engagement (OCE) coordinates the firm's global philanthropic initiatives, which include strategic partnerships, impact investing, and signature programs. It comprises the GS Foundation, Goldman Sachs Gives, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, and Community TeamWorks (CTW). 

 

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join the Office of Corporate Engagement in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, analytical, and results-oriented individual looking to execute high-impact initiatives at the intersection of financial services, public policy, and social impact.

 

Candidates should possess 2+ years of professional experience in a results-oriented, high-performance environment, a demonstrated record of academic and professional excellence, and an ability to solve complex problems. Candidates need not have direct experience in philanthropy. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic execution and management of key OCE programs across key markets.

 

Program Strategy & Execution

Drive the day-to-day execution of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women and other strategic initiatives across key markets, managing relationships with academic and non-profit delivery partners to ensure best-in-class implementationAnalyze program performance using quantitative and qualitative metrics to generate insights, drive continuous improvement, and inform strategic decisionsIdentify, diligence, and develop new strategic opportunities to advance the firm's commitments to long-term philanthropic programs Collaborate with teams across Goldman Sachs to leverage and engage the firm's network, expertise, and resources for and with our strategic initiatives 

 

Thought Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Develop data-driven insights and analysis on key economic trends surfacing from our programs and stakeholders Prepare high-level briefing materials, presentations, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership at the firm and for external engagementsSupport the development of content and events on inclusive growth, entrepreneurship, and economic developmentManage relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior business leaders, policymakers, academic partners, and program participants

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a candidate who is exceptionally smart, driven, and productive, with a demonstrated ability to excel in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in a highly analytical or strategic role such as investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, public policy, or a related fieldTeamwork & Mindset: A proactive, commercially-minded team player who is intellectually curious and passionate and demonstrates the highest degree of integrity and professionalismLanguage: Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English Analytical Skills: Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You must be comfortable with data analysis and able to derive strategic insights from complex informationProject Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects from conception to execution, with outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detailCommunication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to synthesize complex issues, create compelling narratives, and present with confidence to senior audiencesTechnical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
