Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.
The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD.
In this position, you will be responsible for the sales and servicing of local corporate and social events.

The Executive Meeting Manager is responsible for representing the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc. Utilize discretion and authority to negotiate contracts and commit company with customers and establish agreements with vendors.Initiates verbal and written communication (group resume, weekly pick up, post event report, call reports, banquet event orders etc.) with customer and internal team in a proactive manner relative to payment structure, room block management, food and beverage, public room rental and exhibit hall fees, incremental and affiliate revenue streams, performance damages and master billing process. Represents the hotel to customers in the role of executing negotiated group sales agreements including but not limited to room blocks, food and beverage, exhibits and associated products and services.Initiate new sales, prospects, and qualifies leads. Write proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective groups for meeting space, space and rate availability for group accommodations (up to 50 rooms) for moderately smaller meetings. Develop and quote prices for same.Attend weekly sales departmental meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, e.g., tentative review, lost business review, group-pick up, etc.Conduct site inspections and property tours with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities.Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accountsThis role requires strong sales, communication, and networking skills. The ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and then apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate and secure new revenue for the hotel.

Actively engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business for the Hotel.Develop and execute plans to engage in outside sales calls, industry tradeshows and customer events.Develop, execute and communicate a monthly, quarterly and annual business plan for a designated market.Maintain up to date pipeline of business opportunities that will meet the short and long-term business objectives for the designated market.Represent hotel in all interactions dealing with their customers relative to sales, including creating business proposals and executing contracts.Conduct site inspections through masterful story telling with prospective and existing customers based on their individual needs.Coordinate customer specifications (including room, food and beverage and meeting space requirements) via identified lead management system. Enter and maintain pertinent account and booking information in Delphi FDC in accordance with defined standards.Prospecting:
Research, solicit and generate new leads for business opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue and meet and exceed lead generation goals. Create and execute plan to shift share from your competitors.Engage in outside sales activities to uncover needs, build relationships and to win new business.Negotiations:
Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end-user customers and intermediaries.Provide solutions that both achieve and protect the financial goals of the hotel while strengthening relationships with customers.Engage Hilton Worldwide Sales and Hilton Legal to support the contracting process when needed.What are we looking for?
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree preferredMinimum Years of Experience: Minimum of one year of hotel experience in guest contact areas preferred. Salary Range: The annual salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
