Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Hotel set to open in Q2 2026 will bring contemporary style and Laotian flair to the heart of the capital, just minutes from Wat Si Saket, Vientiane Night Market, and Chao Anouvong Park. The hotel’s 197 guest rooms and suites will blend modern design with local touches, offering its guests the choice of four dining venues, including an international all-day dining restaurant, a western comfort food concept and bar, and a Southeast Asian fine-dining restaurant. Guests will enjoy Avani Spa with five treatment rooms, an Avani Fit fitness centre and studio, an outdoor swimming pool, and versatile event spaces including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Job Description

As Executive Housekeeper, you will lead the Housekeeping and Laundry operations for one of Vientiane’s most exciting new lifestyle hotels. You will be responsible for ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house facilities, and external cleaning zones reflect the premium standards of the Avani+ brand.

During the pre‑opening phase, you will play a pivotal role in building the housekeeping department from the ground up, establishing SOPs, hiring and training the team, coordinating with Procurement on OS&E requirements and ensuring the hotel is fully prepared for launch. Once operational, you will oversee daily cleanliness, presentation, efficiency, and guest satisfaction for the entire property.

This role requires a hands‑on, detail‑driven leader with exceptional organizational skills, coaching ability, and a passion for creating beautifully maintained spaces that elevate the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the full housekeeping function, including guest rooms, public spaces, back‑of‑house cleanliness, laundry operations, and outsourced services.Drive all pre‑opening activities for Housekeeping, including OS&E planning, room inspections, linen and amenity setup, workforce planning, and SOP development.Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene, and safety across all hotel areas in alignment with Avani+ brand expectations.Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high‑performing Housekeeping team, building strong service culture and operational excellence.Oversee inventory management for linen, guest supplies, amenities, uniforms, and cleaning materials; ensure cost‑efficient usage and accurate stock controls.Implement and maintain robust cleaning schedules, room assignment systems, and quality‑control procedures to improve efficiency and turnaround times.Conduct regular guest room and public area inspections; identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions promptly.Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, P&C, F&B, and other departments to ensure seamless operations, especially during high occupancy periods.Manage contracts for outsourced laundry, cleaning services, or pest control as required.Uphold strict hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety standards in accordance with local regulations and corporate guidelines.Monitor departmental budgets, labor productivity, cost controls, and procurement processes to optimize operational performance.Support guest feedback handling and service recovery to maintain high satisfaction scores and brand loyalty.

QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.Minimum 5 years’ experience in Housekeeping leadership roles within upscale or international hotels; pre‑opening experience highly advantageous.Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, room standards, hygiene protocols, chemicals, machinery, and linen management.Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate large, diverse teams with a hands‑on, supportive leadership style.Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and a structured approach to planning and execution.Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets, productivity controls, and inventory systems.Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills; able to collaborate seamlessly across departments.Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven pre‑opening environment with flexibility and resilience.Proficiency in MS Office and housekeeping management systems.Fluency in English requiredFluency in either Lao or Thai required.Previous relevant experience in Southeast Asia strongly required.
