The Commercial Engines & Services (CES) Global EHS Leader is responsible for developing excellence through development and implementation of a robust and consistent EHS program that maintains compliance and reduces risk. In this role you will integrate and develop EHS business plans and develop the strategy to meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business success. This role also involves leading and mentoring teams, collaborating with various departments, and engaging with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Partner effectively with the central EHS team and CES operational leaders to align strategy that best prioritizes actions with business risk to ensure focused execution.
+ Partner with all operational leaders, including senior leadership, to align strategy that best prioritizes actions with business risk to ensure focused execution.
+ Lead alignment with EHS management system requirements, utilize our structure to minimize incidents and accidents to our employees, contractors and the environment.
+ Lead the adherence of EHS framework, policies, standards, and procedures and ensure implementation within the business areas.
+ Effectively communicate an assessment of EHS performance to senior site and business leaders, including key risks, best practices, and areas of improvement.
+ Influence, advise and motivate senior leadership regarding EHS initiatives and strategy development.
+ Drive EHS strategy deployment throughout all CES, and provide innovative solutions designed to lead the function in new directions.
+ Collaborate with other business support functions to integrate EHS into operational cadence.
+ Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with EHS standards and best practices.
+ Champion (through the CES family EHS focal points) delivery of EHS goals and objectives.
+ Drive improvement to critical EHS performance indicators for CES.
+ Participate in multi-disciplinary EHS program and compliance audits that include internal/external auditors and EHS subject matter experts.
+ Propose actions that will aid the sites in closing gaps to audit requirements.
+ Conduct deep-dive data analysis for trends and improvement opportunities within CES and develop action plans.
+ Work on complex technological issues or manufacturing processes as applicable to the sites.
+ Responsible for solving issues and developing new solutions requiring new and innovative approaches.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred in EHS
+ Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
+ Minimum of 10 years role-specific experience
+ Previous experience leading multi-disciplinary EHS programs for manufacturing operations in multiple locations domestic and global.
+ Demonstrated domain expertise in multiple EHS disciplines/topics.
**Desired Characteristics**
+ Business leader with 10+ years of EHS management experience in large regulated, high hazard industrial companies.
+ Direct experience in EHS leadership and processes for a large company division.
+ Proven ability to lead, motivate and work effectively with diverse, highly matrixed, cross-functional global teams and external agencies in global environments spanning multiple time zones.
+ Excellent and concise communication skills demonstrated with an ability to listen and communicate clearly, effectively, and persuasively, in verbal and written presentations.
+ Demonstrated team building and engagement with staff, customers, consultants, and contractors.
+ Strong analytic skills, ability to analyze complex data sets.
+ Detailed-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
+ Experience in a Lean operating system environment. Track record of applying Lean in large, complex, global organizations; a systems thinker with a pragmatic, practical approach.
+ Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or other professional EHS certification is desired
