Executive Director or Sales (EDS) - Northeast
As the Executive Director of Sales (EDS) aligned to the BI Americas, Northeast Geography you will be tasked with providing overall sales management for the activities by driving organic growth (10% per year average) for both near and long-term perspectives. We’ll ask you to leverage your expertise to lead business growth and client stewardship activities, including developing and executing market strategies and growth initiatives. You’ll also be responsible for a managing multi-million-dollar sales budget for your team and will be held to account for the achievement of assigned sales goals each year. You will coach, train, and develop the sales team while actively developing, delivering, and driving the business growth strategy. You’ll communicate and see clients by engaging directly in key pursuit activities during the sales lifecycle to improve win rates, as well as to provide on-the-job training and coaching of the Sales and Operations team. You’ll also work with the operations managers to ensure leaders are actively engaged in effective delivery of solutions for clients and sales activities. Using your experience in our markets, you’ll work collaboratively across the company to coordinate and drive strategies and sales, especially with common clients. EDSs are expected to lead by example and deliver individual sales goals. As a leader, we’ll empower you to manage the overall sales staff and redeploy staff as needed while fostering collaboration with your operations teams, taking intelligent risks, and providing broader services, new markets, technologies, and clients. Executive Directors of Sales are required to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders—including the teammates listed below—to support effective engagements with our clients throughout the sales lifecycle: * Executive Director of Operations (EDO: The EDO and EDS are expected to collaborate to lead their respective geographies and their success is dependent on each other. * Client Account Manager and Client Services Leaders (CAM/CSLs): Provide leadership, coaching, direction, and measure accountability on meeting performance goals and applying Selling Unit strategy. * Lead Account Strategist (Lead AStrat): Collaborate on Account Strategist alignments and performance goals on Accounts within Selling Unit. * Market Solutions: Actively engage with subject experts within the Market Solutions team to ensure early deployment of their talents and insights into our client engagements. * Strategic Sales Operations (SSO): Engage with SSO leadership as needed to ensure a healthy and effective partnership as it relates to their support on Opportunities. * Inspirational leadership * Successful track record in business development across markets such as transportation, water, and/or buildings * Experience working with a broad range of project types and sizes with diverse private and public sector clients * Experience personally engaging on key pursuits including development of strategy, pricing, and managing a team * Strong business acumen and experience developing sales and pursuit strategies * Outstanding organizational and communication skills * Passion for leadership coupled with innate ability to influence decision-making processes * Strategic thinker who drives innovative solutions * Experience leading a diverse sales team with varying complexity of projects and clients * Analytical capabilities to develop pricing proposals and support compliance with sales budgets * Proven sales professional with demonstrated ability to close agreements and has recent experience in the regional market Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
