What You'll Be Doing
As the Desk Manager on the Cross Asset Sales Team within the Wealth Solutions Group, you’ll lead a team of sales professionals focused on distributing fixed income, structured rate notes, and foreign exchange products through a variety of investment advisor networks. As a senior leader, you’ll develop and implement effective distribution strategies, strengthen relationships with existing clients, and proactively onboard new clients to grow our business. You’ll collaborate with Trading, Structuring, Advisory, and other internal partners to expand our presence in Canada and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture. You’ll also manage an extensive sales territory, prospect for new opportunities, and provide timely trade ideas and market insights. To support our product distribution efforts, you’ll travel to client offices both locally and nationally to promote and market our product lineup.

How You’ll Succeed
Leadership - Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a cohesive and collaborative environment across Trading, Structuring, Advisory, and other internal partners.
Drive Business Expansion - Collaborate with internal partners to expand business presence in Canada and contribute positively to the organization’s culture.
Product Distribution - Oversee an extensive sales territory by prospecting, recommending, and executing timely trade ideas, and gathering client and competitive intelligence to support product improvement and development.
Client Focus - Provide timely product information and exemplary service to clients; prospect and develop client relationships through outbound calls, value-add idea generation, and client meetings or presentations; cross-sell products based on client needs and risk appetite.
Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving - Analyze market trends, client portfolios, and sales data to identify opportunities and address complex challenges, ensuring sound judgment in all recommendations.
Relationship Building - Collaborate with sales, structuring, advisory, and trading teams to develop effective client positioning and ensure timely execution; share knowledge and best practices with management and team members.
Promote and Market Products - Travel to client offices locally and nationally to promote and market the product lineup, representing the organization professionally at all times.
Develop Expertise - Proactively enhance product knowledge through directed or self-directed study and participate in cross-training as needed to support team and business objectives.
Execute Strategic Projects - Execute on assigned projects, whether focused on team production or innovation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Who You Are
You have attained an undergraduate or master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or STEM. You have completed the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct & Practices Handbook, and the CFA designation is considered an asset.
You’re passionate about financial markets. You have a deep understanding of the current market environment and bring at least 10 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a management capacity. You possess in-depth knowledge of fixed income securities such as government, corporate, and municipal bonds, as well as structured rate notes.
You excel at sales strategy development. You have a proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and expand client relationships.
You’re skilled in client relationship management. You have established and maintained strong relationships with investment advisors and/or institutional investor clients, leveraging your network to achieve business objectives.
You communicate with impact. You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with fluency in French considered an asset. Your strong interpersonal and presentation skills enable you to clearly articulate complex information and foster effective relationships with clients and business partners.
You know that details matter. You efficiently manage multiple priorities and initiatives, including the rollout of complex marketing plans, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
