Executive Director Assisted Living
**Position Summary:** The Executive Director oversees the daily operations of an assisted living and/or independent living community, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Reporting to the Area Vice President, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality care and services to residents while fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. **Key Responsibilities:** **Regulatory Compliance & Operations** + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state regulations governing personal care homes. + Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, payment programs, and safety standards. + Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with the center’s mission and regulatory standards. **Leadership & Administration** + Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to meet facility goals within budget and timelines. + Represent the facility in the community and with advocacy groups, government agencies, and the public. + Lead interdisciplinary teams to promote quality assurance and continuous improvement. **Resident Care & Advocacy** + Apply professional standards to ensure high-quality care and services. + Promote and protect residents’ rights, dignity, and individuality in all interactions. + Respond promptly to resident and family concerns, resolving grievances effectively. **Human Resources & Staff Management** + Understand and apply HR principles, labor laws, and union agreements (if applicable). + Supervise and support staff in accordance with personnel policies and equal opportunity standards. + Foster a respectful, inclusive, and productive workplace culture. **Financial Management** + Demonstrate proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation. + Monitor financial performance and implement cost-effective strategies. **Communication & Collaboration** + Communicate clearly and effectively with staff, residents, families, consultants, and regulatory agencies. + Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance resident care and operational efficiency. **Emergency Preparedness & Safety** + Understand and implement emergency and disaster response procedures. + Ensure resident safety and staff readiness in emergency situations. + Comply with infection control protocols and workplace safety standards. **Professional Conduct** + Uphold the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical behavior. + Demonstrate reliability in attendance, punctuality, and responsiveness to 24/7 operational needs. + Adapt to change and manage multiple priorities effectively. **MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or related fields is required **MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:** As a minimum, two- (2) year(s) of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or long-term care Nursing Center. Should possess a working knowledge of long-term care operational standards set forth in the Federal Register, Requirements of Participation **MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:** Current and unrestricted Administrator licensure in state of practice **ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)** Master’s Degree in related field preferred **Family Makes Us Stronger.** Our family, your family, one family.
