Aetna Better Health Kids is seeking an experienced program administrator to lead our CHIP program in Pennsylvania. This role will collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute the strategic vision of the Health Plan and operational objectives including leading RFA readiness efforts and delivering on RFA commitments. This role will assist the Plan CEO to achieve growth and performance targets which include achievement of the Plan's financial budgets and forecasts. This role is accountable for collaboration and driving performance with corporate functional leaders and centralized shared services business partners across all areas. Aetna Better Health Kids currently serves 24,000 CHIP Enrollees across 41 of the 67 counties in the Commonwealth, and our plan is to expand to all 67 counties in a new contract term. We have a long-standing partnership with the Department of Human Services' CHIP program, spanning 31 years, which demonstrates our commitment to continuously innovate and expand our child-centric health plan that prioritizes accessibility, high quality, predictability of costs, and addressing health disparities. You’ll make an impact by: + Developing strategic plans, assessing market trends and competitive landscape, and identifying opportunities for organizational growth and improvement. + Establishing program objectives, timelines, and deliverables to ensure that programs are effectively planned, resourced, and executed. + Facilitating communication, coordination, and information sharing among cross-functional teams involved in program execution. + Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and success of strategic programs. + Collaborating with finance, human resources, and other departments to ensure the availability of necessary funding, talent, technology, and other resources required for successful program execution. + Assessing potential risks, developing risk mitigation strategies, and monitoring program activities to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices. + Leading change initiatives associated with strategic programs, ensuring smooth transitions and ease of adoption within the organization. + Providing regular updates on program progress, addresses concerns, and seeking feedback and support from stakeholders. + Delivering regular reports and updates to senior leadership, board members, and other stakeholders on the progress, achievements, and challenges of strategic programs. + Exercising innovative and creative mindset to drive market differentiation. + Interacting with state agency contacts, providers, community partners, and members to drive contractual compliance and build Aetna presence in the state. **Required Qualifications** The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company’s business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes: + 10+ years of relevant work experience. + 5+ years of experience in executive leadership roles with proven track record of proficiency in the operational competencies noted. + Recent and related managed health care experience. + Demonstrated success with C-suite stakeholders and regulators. + Ability to work collaboratively across many teams, prioritize demands from those teams, synthesize information received, and generate meaningful conclusions. + Ability to conceive innovative ideas or solutions to meet client’s requirements. + Excellent communication and relationship management skills and be able to express thoughts in an organized and articulate manner. + Ability to build a climate of trust and respect with regulators, external stakeholders, as well as colleagues, peers, and our internal growth partners. + Proven leadership and negotiation skills. + Demonstrated leadership with meaningful initiatives such as: business process optimization, enterprise business project management/consulting, financial strategic planning and analysis, clinical oversight and quality improvement. + Track record of success driving major initiatives across complex and matrixed organizations. **Preferred Qualifications** + Prior experience leading a child specialty program. + Prior experience with proposal writing, implementation and delivering innovative programs and initiatives specific to members under 19 years old. + Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills. + Ability to travel as needed to local market. **Education** Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification. **Pay Range** The typical pay range for this role is: $131,500.00 - $303,195.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
