Work Shift
Job Summary:
The Executive Director Architecture Planning/Design will oversee the planning, design, and implementation of building architecture/design and civil engineering projects. This role is responsible for identifying renovation requirements, determining specifications, designing structures, layouts, building systems, and landscaping. They are responsible for solving planning/design construction problems, development budgets and timetables, selecting and supervising staff as needing. They are responsible for monitor results and comparing to original specifications and approved designs.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Leadership and Team Management
* Establish a high-performing design and services management team.
Maintain a schedule of procurement activities.
Planning for goal-setting, process, and priority setting.
Coaches and empowers team members and offers constructive feedback
Monitor team performance & develop solutions to optimize the process and streamline timelines.
Ensure all documentation is stored in the WellStar project data system(s).
Strategic Planning
Manages system administrative space requests and owns floorplans for both clinical and administrative
Bidding of architectural, engineering, and design services for all Design and Construction and Facility Engineering managed projects.
Serves as the Architectural Interiors expert within their region; staying current on products, trends, changes as it relates to interiors.
Identifies construction and renovation requirements and ensure it meets all Wellstar standards and code requirements as applicable.
Develops architectural concept approvals by interviewing clients; studying preferences, requirements, codes, environment, and community; developing concepts; presenting sketches and models.
Budget Management
Develop project budgets and schedules by costing requirements; calculating construction sequences and timing.
Reports out on all projects as needed, but a minimum on a monthly basis.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education:Bachelors General or Bachelors Architecture-Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or related discipline Required
