The role operates in a fast-paced trading floor environment as part of a dynamic, hardworking, production-focused sales team. The incumbent’s mandate is to provide exceptional service and support to clients, with a focus on activities that will increase the distribution of products within the network. **How You’ll Succeed** + Adapt to dynamic conditions with creativity, energy, and an entrepreneurial spirit in order to meet the evolving demands of the marketplace. + Keep up with market trends + Initiate and build client relationships, including value-add idea generation, client meetings/presentations and customized solutions providing trusted advice + Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the trading floor + Lead an individual client sector for coverage of Interest Rate Derivatives, collaborating with Corporate and Investment banking, as well as risk and credit **Who You Are** + A minimum of 8+ years related experience + Strong knowledge of products and relevant sales experience with a proven track record of results + Strong overall knowledge of Capital Markets and the financial services industry/regulatory environment + Superior business planning and management skills. + Advanced communication and negotiation skills. + Demonstrated commitment to client satisfaction + Proven ability to develop viable product ideas and to lead product development process from idea generation through to closing. + Excellent analytical and intellectual capabilities. + Strategic thinking capability with ability to identify and exploit trends and opportunities + Commodity and interest rate experience a plus + **Values matter to you.** You bring your real self to work and you live our values – trust, teamwork, and accountability. \#LI-TA California residents — your privacy rights regarding your actual or prospective employment (https://us.cibc.com/en/about-us/california-consumer-privacy-act-employment.html) At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary of $250,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
