What You’ll Be Doing

As the Executive Director of Cash Management based in Toronto, you will lead CIBC’s efforts to deliver innovative, client-focused cash management solutions at a strategic level. You will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the cash management portfolio, enhancing working capital management for corporate clients, and positioning CIBC as a market leader in cash management services. This role requires a deep understanding of treasury and cash management practices, combined with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage risk, and implement strategic initiatives.

How You’ll Succeed

Strategic Leadership - Develop and execute a comprehensive cash management strategy that aligns with CIBC’s corporate vision and growth objectives. Lead the design and implementation of innovative cash management solutions tailored to the needs of complex, treasury-intensive clients. Act as a thought leader in cash management, identifying emerging trends and opportunities to maintain CIBC’s competitive edge while driving continuous improvement.

Portfolio Growth and Profitability - Drive the growth of the cash management portfolio by identifying new business opportunities, negotiating pricing agreements, and implementing profitable solutions. Develop and oversee strategies to increase wallet share with existing clients, focusing on revenue growth and client retention. Monitor portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with risk management policies and profitability targets.

Client Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, demonstrating CIBC’s values of trust, teamwork, and accountability. Proactively assess client needs and deliver tailored cash management solutions that enhance their financial performance and operational efficiency. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing treasury best practices and insights that address their unique challenges.

Operational Excellence - Oversee the development and enhancement of management reporting, including market share, profitability, and sustainability metrics. Drive the implementation of best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance client experiences, and deliver superior cash management services.

Collaboration - Collaborate with senior leaders across CIBC to ensure cash management processes are strategically aligned with broader corporate objectives. Represent CIBC in industry forums and client engagements, showcasing the bank's leadership in delivering innovative and effective cash management solutions.

Who You Are

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional designations such as CFA, CA, or CTP are preferred

You can demonstrate experience in the financial industry with a focus in large corporate banking experience.  You have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in cash management, treasury, or corporate banking, with a proven track record of driving portfolio growth and managing complex client relationships.

You are a strategic thinker. You excel in strategic planning, business development, and initiative implementation, with the ability to conceptualize and execute innovative cash management solutions.

You put our clients first. You are passionate about building strong client relationships and delivering tailored solutions that address their unique needs and challenges.

You are an effective communicator. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.

You are detail-oriented and analytical. You have strong technical skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry tools (e.g., Bloomberg). Your attention to detail ensures accurate analysis and reporting.
