The Executive Chef is the creative and operational leader of all culinary activities within the hotel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative, and authentic dining experiences aligned with Ennismore's lifestyle brand. This senior position is critical in the pre-opening phase to develop menus, recruit and train the culinary team, and establish operational standards that set the foundation for long-term success.

Pre-opening: Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage and brand teams to develop unique culinary concepts and menus reflecting local ingredients and lifestyle positioning. Recruit, onboard, and train the culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and consistency. Establish kitchen operations, SOPs, hygiene standards, and safety protocols in line with local regulations and Ennismore standards. Manage the procurement process for kitchen equipment, tools, and ingredients, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency. Oversee the design and layout of kitchen spaces to optimize workflow and productivity. Lead menu tastings, costing, and adjustments prior to opening. Collaborate with marketing on culinary storytelling and launch events. Operational: Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality, timely delivery, and excellent presentation. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety compliance. Control food costs, minimize waste, and optimize inventory management to achieve financial targets. Drive innovation by introducing seasonal and trend-forward dishes that enhance the brand's lifestyle offering. Monitor guest feedback and implement continuous culinary improvements. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences. Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the culinary team, promoting career growth and skill enhancement. Set expectations for professionalism, grooming, and teamwork in line with Ennismore values. Foster a positive, creative, and inclusive kitchen culture. Conduct regular training, performance reviews, and development plans. Additional responsibilities: Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by the leadership team. Prepare reports and budgets related to culinary operations. Support internal and external audits regarding kitchen operations and compliance. Qualifications Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred. Minimum 7 years' experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in luxury or lifestyle hotels, including pre-opening experience. Proven ability to lead a diverse culinary team and deliver innovative menus. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and local regulations. Excellent organizational, financial, and communication skills. Passion for culinary excellence and creativity aligned with lifestyle hospitality.
