Job Description

As Executive Chef, you will lead and oversee all kitchen operations within the hotel. Your responsibilities will include training and managing the kitchen team, supervising and coordinating all culinary activities, forecasting food requirements, and managing procurement. You will be tasked with developing and refining recipes, standardizing production to maintain consistent quality, and setting presentation, technique, and quality benchmarks.

You will plan and cost menus, ensure the proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment, and uphold the highest standards of safety and sanitation. On occasion, you may prepare signature dishes for special events and oversee catering functions.

The Executive Chef is accountable for recruitment, team development, and performance evaluations within the kitchen, reporting directly to the General Manager. In addition, you will play a key role in driving revenue and ensuring the profitability of kitchen operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.

Strong culinary expertise with a passion for innovative menu development and high-quality presentation.

In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen operations management.

Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse kitchen team.

Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and menu pricing to ensure profitability.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.

Formal culinary training from a recognized institution is preferred.
