Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 1 for the Church Home in Fort Valley, GA.  Church Home, a Lifespring Community, is a warm and friendly senior community set on a beautifully landscapes property.  Celebrating over 80 years of not-for-profit service and excellence in Middle Georgia.

 

The Executive Chef will be a hands-on, working chef.  The right person for this role loves to be side by side with the team making quality dishes for the residents on a daily basis.  You will provide culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  

 

What You'll Do Coordinate and implement the culinary function on a daily basis Be responsible for all food production, catering, and retail management experienceTrain and direct the cooks and dietary team daily Inventory management, on-line orderingFinancial management to include food cost & labor management.

Manage food & physical safety programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
