Administrative & Scheduling Support:
Manage and maintain the scientist's complex calendar and travel logistics with meticulous attention to detail.
Handle correspondence, including drafting and proofreading professional emails and documents.
Anticipate needs and take initiative to improve workflows and solve problems independently.
Maintain an organized and efficient digital and physical filing system.
Computer & Software Management:
Serve as a power user in the Microsoft Office Suite, demonstrating advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (email, calendar, task management), creating polished presentations in PowerPoint, and managing complex data/budgets in Excel spreadsheets.
Quickly learn and utilize specialized software or platforms relevant to the scientist's work.
Communication & Professionalism:
Answer and manage professional phone calls, acting as a professional and courteous gatekeeper.
Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive research and proprietary information.
Research & Independent Thinking (Ideal):
Ideally, conduct preliminary research, gather necessary data, and compile information from various sources to support the scientist's projects.
Demonstrate self-motivation and focus on results to manage projects to completion without constant supervision.
Working hours: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
Technology: Excellent computer skills are a must, with a demonstrated advanced proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
