General Summary:
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to senior executives at Family Dollar. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality while embodying our store-focused commitment to service and operational excellence.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Provide daily administrative support to senior executives, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel planning, and expense processing.Assist with financial tasks such as budgeting support, invoice submission, and travel reimbursements.Prepare high-quality presentations and materials for executive meetings, internal reviews, and external communications.Anticipate the needs of executives and proactively manage schedules, priorities, and follow-ups.Coordinate logistics for department-wide meetings, events, team-building activities, and special projects.Draft and manage internal and external communications, including memos, emails, and announcements.Manage office supplies, place procurement orders, and coordinate workspace needs for new or transitioning team members.Track key deliverables and maintain alignment between team deadlines, department priorities, and corporate calendars.Support onboarding of new team members and coordinate office moves or transitions.Serve as a liaison across departments to ensure seamless information flow and alignment on priorities.Perform additional administrative duties and projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Education:High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate’s degree or higher preferredExperience:5+ years of experience providing executive-level administrative support, ideally in a corporate or retail environmentProven ability to support multiple senior leaders and manage competing priorities
Skills & Competencies:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational, planning, and time management abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyDiscretion in handling confidential and sensitive mattersAbility to work independently and collaborativelyProfessional demeanor and customer-service orientationTechnical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Familiarity with expense reporting tools and enterprise systems is a plusWork Environment:Office-based role requiring 40+ hours per weekFlexibility as needed to support executive schedules and business demands
