Executive Assistant
Description Key Responsibilities: • Manage the Chairwoman’s email and calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. • Prepare agendas, briefing materials, correspondence, reports, and presentations for internal and external meetings. • Coordinate and attend meetings with tribal leaders, council members, community members, and external partners; take and distribute accurate meeting minutes. • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary tribal information. • Draft communications on behalf of the Chairwoman, including letters, memos, speeches, and press releases. • Assist in planning and executing events, tribal gatherings, and community outreach initiatives. • Track deadlines, commitments, and follow-up actions for the Chairwoman and provide timely reminders. • Serve as a liaison between the Chairwoman’s Office and tribal departments, government agencies, and intergovernmental organizations. • Monitor and prioritize incoming correspondence, calls, and emails; respond when appropriate or route to the proper parties. • Perform general office duties and support special projects and initiatives as directed by the Chairwoman. Requirements Qualifications: • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Native American Studies, or a related field preferred. • Minimum of 3–5 years of executive-level administrative experience, preferably in a tribal government or public sector setting. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • High degree of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality. • Respect for, and a willingness to learn about, Native American tribal governance, culture, and traditions. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel occasionally.
