The AWS Global Public Policy (GPP) organization is seeking an experienced, driven, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant with a proven track record of high performance under pressure.
In this role, you will initially provide temporary support to the Global Public Policy Front Office/Headquarters in Seattle, WA, transitioning to support one or more members of the GPP Leadership team upon the return of a current Front Office/HQ team member. You may also serve as a backup during EA absences across the organization and assist with broader Front Office/HQ operations. This position reports directly to the Front Office/HQ Program Manager during the coverage period.
You will be a candidate that thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can manage high volumes of complex tasks with minimal guidance. Success in this role requires a bias for action, strong communication skills at all levels, exceptional organization, and the highest standards of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information. As the first point of contact for a global team engaging with headquarters, you will serve as a trusted resource and ambassador — embodying professionalism and soft diplomacy.
This role requires five (5) days a week in office.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Partner with the Front Office/HQ Program Manager, anticipate the org's needs and preferences, and independently resolve escalations without relying on the leader's direction for day-to-day decisions.
- Manage complex calendars strategically to optimize the principle's time and maintain high productivity, ensuring business objectives and rhythm of business needs are met.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, process expense reports, and maintain organizational charts.
- Proactively plan and organize events, team offsites, summits, and activities in partnership with leadership and the GPP Front Office/HQ Support team.
- Track key deliverables, follow up on overdue items, and drive completion.
- Document processes as they are learned for future reference.
- Partner with assistants across the team and company, fostering collaboration in a multicultural environment.
- Demonstrate empathy, critical thinking, and a genuine desire to understand others.
