A previous urology background and exposure are preferred as are candidates who appreciate a team-based approach to caring for genitourinary patients. **As a APP, this position is involved in clinical management of patients, performing procedures, interpretating diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, education, consultation, and research. This position requires working closely with Urologists and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care within BUMCP and the outpatient clinic.The position is focused primarily on inpatient care which entails daily rounding on patients, inpatient consults, determining the treatment plan in conjunction with the Urologists and performing urologic procedures (both patients in the urology service and non-service patients [i.e. difficult urinary catheter placements])** **Work Schedule:** Rounding Mon-Fri; one overnight call weekly plus one weekend per month in rotation with other APPs; call is compensated above and beyond the based salary. **Minimum Qualifications:** + 1+ year of experience as an RN or APP in a urology setting + Current AZ NP or PA license or eligible + Board Certification as a Physician Assistantor Acute Care Nurse Practitioner + DEA prescribing license, BLS, CPR certification **Primary Location: Banner University Medical Center Phoenix,** 1111 East McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85006 **Banner Benefits:** You take care of others.
