Rescue Rooter, a national service leader, is immediately seeking an Excavation Laborer to join our team. As an excavation crew member you will operate a backhoe or shovel to dig for sewer, water, and gas line repairs for our residential and commercial customers. If you are self-motivated with a great work ethic, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities Operates a jack hammerBreaks concrete to prepare area for diggingDigs for sewer and water linesProvides assistance to technician in performing repairsBackfills holes and areas that have been serviced and grades, cleans, seeds, and repairs the areaRemoves old sewer lines for new system installationChecks lines for proper flow prior to leaving work areaObtains customer approvals for workMaintains and fuels vehicle and stocks the service truck with adequate partsTransports materials and tools to the job site and provides proper accounting of toolsCompletes all required documentation on services and may collects/record fees for delivery to the office Qualifications A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substitutedRequires ability to dig with a shovelMachine/excavator experience is a plus but not requiredGood communications skills Ability to pass a background check, MVR check and drug screen
