**Shift** : Hiring for all shifts including every other weekend.
**Position Summary:**
The EVS Supervisor plays a key leadership role in supporting the Environmental Services department within a large, fast-paced healthcare facility. This position is responsible for guiding frontline staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety, and delivering exceptional service that supports patient care and regulatory compliance. The EVS Supervisor works closely with hospital leadership and internal teams to maintain a healing environment that meets or exceeds expectations.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Foster a strong customer service culture with both internal teams and hospital staff.
+ Respond promptly and professionally to service requests, demonstrating urgency and accountability.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
+ Ensure departmental procedures align with hospital standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA).
+ Conduct regular quality assurance inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety benchmarks.
+ Supervise and support frontline Environmental Services Associates, including onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
+ Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
+ Align daily and weekly work schedules with hospital operational needs and patient care priorities.
+ Ensure timely completion of training and recertification programs for all staff.
+ Lead departmental initiatives related to Total Quality Management (TQM) and service excellence.
+ Engage with hospital stakeholders to ensure service expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
+ Maintain accurate records and report key operational data in a timely manner.
+ Ensure compliance with all labor agreements, hospital policies, and safety protocols.
+ Promote a safe and respectful work environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
+ Demonstrate strong attention to detail in reviewing data and managing documentation.
+ Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet objectives with minimal supervision.
+ Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
+ Resolve operational issues promptly and professionally.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic healthcare environment.
+ Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed, including nights and weekends.
+ Prepare and submit operational reports as required (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
+ Travel locally for meetings or facility-related functions may be required.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Non-Essential Functions:**
+ Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with hospital expectations.
+ Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
+ Complete annual competencies and mandatory hospital education.
+ Remain compliant with health screenings, immunizations, and safety certifications.
+ Stay current with department-specific training and skill requirements.
**Requirements:**
**Education/Training:**
**Required:**
+ High School diploma or GED.
**Preferred:**
+ Some college preferred.
**Job Knowledge/Experience:**
**Required:**
+ Must possess a minimum of 1 year Customer Service.
**Preferred:**
+ 1 year of proven housekeeping experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting; experience in environmental services.
+ 1 year of supervisor experience in any industry.
**Language/Writing/Communication Requirements:**
**Required:**
+ Ability to accurately review and process data and attend to detail.
+ Ability to communicate in both written and verbal formats.
